Si è svolta nel weekend la cerimonia di premiazione degli Emmy Awards 2024, che ha decretato i vincitori dei premi della televisione americana. Si tratta, in effetti, della seconda cerimonia degli Emmy tenutasi quest’anno, dato che a gennaio si è recuperata anche l’edizione 2023 posticipata a causa degli scioperi di Hollywood.
Condotta da Dan Levy e Eugene Levy, la cerimonia ha premiato Shogun ha come Miglior Serie Drammatica mentre Hacks ha trionfato a sorpresa come Miglior Serie Comica. Aspettative rispettate invece per la discussa Baby Reindeer, che si è aggiudicata il titolo di Miglior Miniserie.
Il grande protagonista della serata è stata però The Bear, che si è portata a casa alcuni dei premi più importanti della serata come quelli per Miglior Attore in una Serie Comica (a Jeremy Allen White), Miglior Attore Non Protagonista (Ebon Moss–Bachrach) e Miglior Attrice Non Protagonista (Liza Colón–Zayas).
Tra gli altri riconoscimenti indivituali, JeanSmart ha vinto il premio come Miglior Attrice in una Serie Comica per il suo ruolo in Hacks.
